Envirotech, Inc. has been located in Farmington, New Mexico for over 20 years and is situated in the heart of the world’s largest coal based methane basin—the San Juan Basin. Established in 1989, the company has grown to be a comprehensive resolution resource for the oil and gas industry while also providing industry expertise to residential and commercial land customers.

Morris D. Young B.S.
President
As Chief Executive Officer of the firm since 1989, Mr. Young oversees and coordinates the overall professional, construction, and administrative activities. He is directly responsible for environmental technical services, environmental assessments, environmental laboratory testing, and remediation design and implementation projects. He has more than forty years’ experience in environmental engineering, chemical and petroleum plant design and operation, geological investigations, oil and gas exploration and production, water well and waste water system engineering. Morris has bachelor’s degrees in both chemistry and mathematics from Brigham Young University.
Julie Ortiz
Vice President
Ms. Ortiz has 15 years of experience in the fields of office management, human resources, relationship management, and marketing. She is responsible for office management, supply inventory, daily administrative work for the president, tracking all projects, staffing and recruiting, customer relations, marketing, advertising, staff leadership, and training.
Donald Ortiz
Vice President, Field Operations
Mr. Ortiz has been active in the hazardous construction industry for 17 years. Specific experience includes asbestos inspections and remediation, mold inspections and remediation, and equipment operation supervision. Mr. Ortiz has worked at more than 500 sites for both asbestos and mold inspections and remediation.
Greg Crabtree P.E., M.S.
Environmental Manager
As the environmental manager, Greg is responsible for a large staff and project management. He is the subject matter expert for regulatory adherence of oilfield remediation, spill cleanup, Phase I and II site assessments, investigation and remediation of underground storage tank sites, and interaction with regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. Greg holds a Masters of Environmental Engineering and a Masters of Atmospheric Science from Texas Tech University.
Tommy Adams B.S.
Field Safety Technician
Tommy is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all safety training, meetings, and staff certifications. Tommy is dedicated to the support of Envirotech’s zero incident culture. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation management from Brigham Young University as well as an Associates of Applied Science degree in occupational safety from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico. He is an active member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Walter Hinchman
Laboratory Director
Walter is the director of the analytical chemistry laboratory which includes both the environmental and natural gas laboratories. Mr. Hinchman has 27 years of experience as an analytical chemist and environmental professional. As the laboratory director, Mr. Hinchman provides leadership and strategic direction to the laboratory technical staff, monitors data quality objectives, tracks daily activities and collaborates with management, staff, and clients to identify and resolve issues related to environmental services.
